要  命  yào mìnɡ  = extremely

  Tā de dǔ zi tōnɡ de yào mìnɡ   

1.他 的 肚 子  通  得  要  命 。

His stomach is dying.

  Tā de hái zi wán pí de yào mìnɡ   

2.他 的  孩 子  顽 皮 得  要  命  。

His child is terribly naughty.

             

 随 地 suí dì  anywhere, everywhere

  Nǐ suí dì dōu kě yǐ qù   

1.你  随 地  都 可 以 去 。

You can go anywhere.

  Zhè ɡè chénɡ shì hěn dà   nǐ suí dì dōu jìn liànɡ jìn qù kàn kan   

2. 这 个   城   市  很 大 ，你  随 地  都  尽   量   进 去  看  看 。

This city is very big, you can go in and see wherever you are.

       

 弄 nònɡ   = make

   Xiǎo ɡǒu bǎ wǒ de yī fu nònɡ zānɡ liǎo 

1.  小   狗 把 我 的 衣 服  弄   脏   了  

The puppy soiled my clothes

       

 脏 zānɡ  = dirty

  Dǎ wán qiú hòu   wǒ de yī fu dōu zānɡ le   

1.打  完  球  后 ，我 的 衣 服  都  脏  了 。

After playing, my clothes are all dirty.

  Wǒ men bú yào chī yǐ jīnɡ zānɡ de dōnɡ xi   

2.我  们 不  要  吃 已  经   脏  的  东  西 。

 We don't want to eat things that are already dirty.

             

 狗   粮 ɡǒu liánɡ  = dog food

  Wǒ jiā de xiǎo ɡǒu chī hǎo mínɡ pái de ɡǒu liánɡ   

1.我  家 的  小   狗  吃  好  名   牌 的  狗   粮  。

My puppy eats good brand-name dog food.

                         

预  防  yù fánɡ = take precautions againt

  Wǒ men bú shì pà   zhǐ shì zuò yù fánɡ ér yǐ   

1.我  们 不  是 怕 ， 只  是  做 预  防  而 已 。

We are not afraid, we just do prevention.

                            

打  针 dǎ zhēn  = give or have an injection

  Xiǎo de shí hou wǒ chánɡ chánɡ dǎ zhēn   

1. 小  的  时  候 我   常    常  打  针  。

When I was young, I used to get injections.

  Yǒu xiē lǎo rén huì pà dǎ zhēn   

2. 有  些  老  人  会 怕 打  针  。

Some elderly people are afraid of injections.

        

 至 少 zhì shǎo   = at least

  Wǒ men mǎi de shí wù   zhì shǎo yào fù liǎnɡ bǎi kuài   

1.我  们  买 的  食 物 ， 至  少   要 付   两   百  块  。

We have to pay at least two hundred yuan for the food we buy.

  Nǐ bú yònɡ pà   nǐ zhì shǎo hái yǒu wǒ zài nǐ de shēn pánɡ   

2.你 不  用  怕 ，你  至  少   还  有 我  在 你 的  身   旁  。

Don't be afraid, you at least still have me by your side.

                         

寄 养  jì yǎnɡ  = entrust to the care of

  Wǒ yào chū ɡuó le    wǒ bǎ xiǎo māo dài dào jì yǎnɡ zhōnɡ xīn   

1.我  要  出  国 了 ，1我 把  小   猫  带  到 寄  养    中   心 。

I am going abroad, I will take the kitten to the foster care center.

           

不 得 不 bù dé bù = have to

  Yīn wei lín shí yǒu shì qinɡ   wǒ men bù dé bù qǔ xiāo yuán běn de jì huà   

1. 因  为  临  时  有  事  情  ，我  们 不 得 不 取  消   原   本 的 计  划 。

We had to cancel the original plan due to temporary incidents.

  Wǒ bù dé bù xiān qù ɡòu wù zhōnɡ xīn děnɡ tā   

2.我 不 得 不  先  去  购 物   中   心  等  她 。

I have to go to the shopping mall to wait for her first.

        

 费 用 fèi yònɡ  = expense

   Zhù zài dà chénɡ shì de fèi yònɡ fēi chánɡ dà   

1.  住  在 大   城   市 的  费  用   非   常  大 。

The cost of living in a big city is very high.

   Tā měi ɡè yuè de fèi yònɡ dōu yào liǎnɡ qiān kuài   

2. 他  每 个  月 的  费  用   都  要   两   千   块  。

His monthly expenses are two thousand yuan.

         

医  药  费 yī yào fèi  = medical expense

   Xiàn zài yī yào fèi yuè lai yuè ɡuì le   

1.  现   在 医  药  费  越  来  越  贵 了 。

Medical expenses are getting more and more expensive now.

           

 人  类 rén lèi = mankind

  Rén lèi de xiǎnɡ xiànɡ bù yì dìnɡ huì shí xiàn   

1. 人  类 的   想    象  不 一  定   会  实  现  。

The human imagination may not be realized.

  Tā jiānɡ jiào huì rén lèi zěn yànɡ shǐ yònɡ liú xínɡ kē jì   

2.他   将   教   会  人  类  怎  样   使  用   流  行  科 技 。

He will teach humans how to use popular technology.

        

 认  为 rèn wéi  = think

  Wǒ rèn wéi tā de jiàn yì hěn hǎo   wǒ men kě yǐ shì shì   

1.我  认  为 他 的  建  议  很  好 ，我  们 可 以  试  试 。

I think his suggestion is very good, we can try it.  

  Wǒ rèn wéi dú jì xiǔ xué xiào yǒu hěn duō hǎo chù   

2.我  认  为 读 寄  宿  学  校   有  很  多  好  处 。

I think going to boarding school has many advantages.

            

 坏   处 huài chǔ  = disadvantage

  Wǒ men bú yào bǎ rèn hé shì qinɡ wǎnɡ wǎnɡ huài chǔ qù xiǎnɡ   

1.我  们 不  要 把  任 何  事  情   往   往   坏   处 去   想  。

Let's not think about the disadvantages of anything.

  Měi cǐ huó dònɡ dōu yǒu hǎo chù hé huài chǔ   

2. 每 此  活  动   都  有  好  处 和  坏   处 。

Every activity has advantages and disadvantages.
